This is a genuine Honda part. I was concerned that it would be a flimsy reproduction when I ordered it here but it came from a real Honda dealer at far less than my local dealer quoted. It snaps right onto the pins on either side. There are two little strings and clips that allow the cover to lift up when opening the hatch. These install very easily. There also are snaps that attach to the back of the seat and require installation. I didn't bother. The flaps that would attach to these snaps cover the gap well enough without them. This cover does everything I need: it keeps the trunk out of view and in the shade.
